And the nominations are:

Not easy this week!

But, Willian, again kept up his decent performances of recent weeks – gave it a go, created many chances, but he still needs to find the net more often and look for a through ball rather than playing it sideways. Not as penetrative as Hazard who we are obviously missing at the moment. But he tried!

Eto’o used his movement and nous to good effect – a good run in to the penalty area to get the corner which led to his well taken goal, although he missed some gilt edged chances as well. Thought he had a good game and I was surprised to see him taken off after 75 minutes when we clearly needed a goal to win the game.

Matic like Willian kept up his performance levels of recent weeks and controlled the game from midfield, in spite of persistent fouling from Sunderland and blind indifference from Mike Dean. He so often looks the best player and most assured player on the pitch. He did give the ball away in the second half more than he usually does as the game got more frantic and Chelsea chased the game, but I think we can forgive him that.
