In a game where we were under the kosh until Zabaletta got sent off, the defence collectively kept us in the game with a resolute display.

Special mention (and nominations) therefore go to:

John Terry who showed great leadership, kept things calm at the back and made some great tackles and interceptions.

Cesar Azpilicueta who had his best game of the season with some great tackles and interceptions.

And finally, Eden Hazard who although bullied off the ball for most of the match, kept going and made the telling break, pass and final ball in the counter attack which led to our goal.

If you want to vote for the Man of the Match then all you have to do is vote below. We will be revealing the results and discussing what we voted for on the Chelsea FanCast on Monday 22nd September. SWATZER IS GOOD MORETAH PETR CESC AND COURTOIS,CESC HAVE WEAKNESS AT HIS RIGHT HAND SIDE ALSO CESC THE SAME PROBLEM AT HIS LEFT HAND SIDE,WE CAN BEGIN TO USE SWATZER,COZ STRIKERS NOTICED THE WEAKNESS OF OUR 2 GOALKEEPERS,IN CHELSEA WE HAVE TO AVOID THE WORD GOALKEEPER NUMBER ONE AND TWO,ALL INCLUDE SWATZER ARE ON SAME LEVEL,BUT I THINK AND AM SURE SWATZER IS BETTER.

I thought Azpiicueta struggled with Millner’s strength, and at the end of the day defence let some bloke I recognised score a goal when City only had ten men. Bearing in mind we as a club should know better than anyone to track Lamps on a late run into the box. Hazard was busy the whole game, if Willian and Ramires could learn to pass maybe the Lamps goal would have been a consolation.
