Chelsea shook off their somewhat complacent draw with Maribor last Tuesday with a gritty and intimidating performance at Anfield on Saturday. Liverpool drew first blood rather luckily but after equalizing, Chelsea always looked like winning and once Costa slammed the ball in to the net to make it 2-1, Jose Mourinho’s Mean Machine crushed the life out of Liverpool and the match to take all three points. But it could have been different had referee Antony Taylor given hand ball against Cahill for what might have been an equalizing penalty for Liverpool. But that’s how the cards fall and the Blues go marching on!
