We re-visit a Classic Chelsea FanCast this week, where Stamford Chidge is joined by regulars Martin, Chel Tel and the Blues Brothers, and very special guest – Kelvin Barker, author of “Celery – Representing Chelsea in the 1980’s”.

Kelvin Barker is the author of “Celery – Representing Chelsea in the 1980’s” and a book described by none other than Pat Nevin as “A little bit of nostalgia mixed in with some extraordinary accurate history…it provides an authoritative education on an important time for the club”. And who are we to disagree!

After he takes the ’60 second fan’ challenge, Kelvin discusses his inspiration for the book – the trials and tribulations of a very up and down decade for the Chels, and a time when Chelsea regularly took 10,000 away. It was also a time when Chelsea had more than their fair share of colourful characters and ‘cult heroes’ on the pitch, such as Joey Jones, Micky Thomas, Pat Nevin and Kerry Dixon, all of whom have contributed to Kelvin’s book.

In a bumper edition of ‘Tales from the Shed’ we hear how Kelvin hugged Colin Pates on the hallowed Stamford Bridge turf, whilst Chel Tel observed the Leeds Fans venting their anger on the North Stand score board; the Chelsea ‘specials’ and the nightmare windowless trip back from Sunderland, and Stu’s second pitch invasion, with Ken Bates as his target!

“You’re on CFFC” has contributions from Tim Law, Robert Delsani and John Sweetman on subjects including players we regret selling, where is Peter Borota? And all time Chelsea Donkeys, plus the inevitable but absolutely necessary joke at Sp*rs expense!

Oh, and Chidge has a major rant about ‘England’ fans booing Ashley Cole!
