We look back at the show recorded in Sept 2009 celebrating the launch of the book “Chelsea Here, Chelsea There” written by Chelsea terrace stalwarts Mark Worrall, Kelvin Barker and ‘Hocus McPocus’, recalling the momentous day on August 25th 1984 when Chelsea celebrated their return to the first division and the big time by taking over 20,000 away to Arsenal.
In the big news of the week, FIFA have slapped Chelsea with a 2 transfer window ban for inducing Gael Kakuta to break his contract with Lens. We ask whether this is another case of the powers that be ganging up on the Chels or are Kenyon and Arneson to blame. How will it affect Chelsea’s ability to compete and doesn’t it all sound rather ‘proper Chels’ with our usual ability to shoot ourselves in the foot just when things are going so well.
