Still 018 - Chelsea AwayNot much to laugh about for this week’s Celery Moment you would have thought! Wrong! This is the Chelsea FanCast and we can always find a bit of humour even in the bleakest situations – and that is also very much part of what being a Chelsea supporter is all about. Why do you think we coined the phrase “Win Or Lose We’re On The Booze”?

And funnily enough our first nomination goes out to the Chelsea faithful who took that phrase very much to heart! We hear tell that quite a few of the True Blue Massive were, well, shitfaced during the match, having no doubt taken advantage of an early start from London and a late kick off to get ‘right on it!’ There were allegations of lads who slept through the first half, and of others rather unsteadily managed to fall over at least three rows. Well, if your side are going to lose it is a somewhat novel way of easing the pain as I doubt these lads will remember much if anything from the game – hey it might never happened!

Our next nomination goes to Jose Mourinho who showing remarkable restraint in front of the Sky Cameras and Geoff Shreeves 165012893_3344605893001_vs-5324b563e4b0acc2229b6e33-782203291001refused to dig out Foy for his appalling decisions during the game. He couldn’t resist doing a comical impression of Foy though when explaining that he had only asked politely if he could have 5 seconds of the referee’s time. Quality Jose, always.

Our third nomination goes to cfcuk’s very own ‘Screech’. Many will recognise Alex from his sterling work selling the cfcuk fanzine over land and sea and generally being ‘He Who Must Not Be Named’ little helper. To our surprise and amazement, photo 1Screech was captured loitering on the touchline at Villa Park. Was he expecting to get on as a sub? Was he assisting Jose? I guess we’ll never know.

And finally, a Celery Moment goes to Eden Hazard for producing what can only be described as a Kung Fu kick that Grasshopper would have been proud. Sadly it did not connect with any deserving Villa players or better still Chris Foy. After all, as photowe all know, Eden Hazard, he kicks who he wants – and in this instance in a Kung Fu style!
