The Chelsea supporters did themselves and Didier Drogba proud with a rousing send off, pre-empted by the unfurling of a top banner honouring Drogba. More important we kept the love in to before and after and got behind the team for the full 90 minutes.
Thankfully Drogba did his bit by being largely anonymous for most of the match apart from a comical attempt at an overhead kick and then skying a free kick so far over the bar that it actually hit the banner proclaiming his name in the Matthew Harding
Talking of flags, the sterling effort put in by Mr X and Darren and Pablo from the Chelsea FanCast plus many other willing helpers saw both European flags displayed before the match for the first time. They really look very impressive, and there is more to come!
