For Guinness Moment this week we have a goal, a save and a moment of genius!

ch730dFirst up, the ever under-rated Cech gets a nomination for his save low down to his right from a Sandro volley. I have to admit that when I saw the shot I thought it was goal bound. Considering that Spurs had the upper hand at the time, that makes the save even more important as going 1-0 down might have been a problem. I get very annoyed about how much Cech is under-rated for Chelsea, and how little the importance of his saves are considered. He seems to make at least 2 or three such saves every match, and considering our frequent inability to score a lot of goals, they (and him) to me have been crucial in our leading the table. He is still an absolutely world class keeper and one could argue match winning. Believe me people we will miss him when he goes, so make sure you appreciate every save he makes.images

From one end to the other, Samuel Eto’o scored a goal that changed the dynamic of the match. All courtesy of a great pass, not from Hazard for a change, but from Vertonghen the Wrong Un!! It was a great finish by a striker who may be ‘old’ but is still world class on his day. Once you have it you never lose it and he showed a top strikers ability to opportunistically seize on the chance given him and then expertly nutmeg both defender and keeper to bury it in the net.

Tottenham-Hotspur-v-Chelsea-Premier-League-2324009And last but by no means least, it wouldn’t be a Guinness moment without a nomination for a bit of Hazard genius. This week he gets the nomination for a beautiful back flick to Eto’o. Loverly!!
