Celery Moment: Everton v Chelsea

4463820And the nominations are:

Diego Costa really is a beast. A superb striker who loves to put himself about, and Chelsea supporters have always loved a player with a bit of nastiness in him – someone who doesn’t take a step back.  Seamus Coleman had been winding up Costa all game in an attempt to get him sent off – well how else would Everton be able to sort him out. It was therefore utterly fitting that when Coleman put the ball in to his own net from Hazard’s cross, Costa picked the ball out of the net and made sure that Coleman knew about it. Cue mayhem as ‘Taliban Tim’ Howard loses the plot and attacks Costa and then Azpilicueta. Did Costa take a step back – NO!

John Terry gets a horrible press and is hated by most football fans – but not at Chelsea! We love him and always will, and we know what he is all about. In typical style in a post match interview with Sky Sports, JT was quick to dedicate the win to Chelsea’s former Life President, Lord ‘Dickie’ Attenborough who sadly passed away the weekend before.

Some may think that the next nomination is a bit odd – we’ve plumped for the Yellow kit. Well, some may recall that the Chelsea FanCast has many times campaigned for the return of the yellow kit, worn with pride in the 1960’s and 1970’s and most recently worn in our FA Cup final victory over Everton. Its good to see it back. It is a proper Chelsea away kit. All they need to do now is  bring back the blue shorts to go with it. Oh, and our record of victories wearing the yellow kit is also very impressive – much better than the horrible black kit!
