Watford has stunned the league so far.

The story so far

Marco Silva made an admirable impression during his stint as Hull City manager last season, yet currently, he’s performing miraculously as the Hornets currently occupy fourth place.

Evidently, we must approach their league position with a sense of poise and rationality (sorry panic at the disco), the league is still relatively new, and the likelihood of Watford staying in the Champions League spot is exceedingly slim.

Nonetheless, their form is testament to the managerial capabilities of Marco Silva who has performed wonderfully as Watford boss so far.

Their 6-0 home defeat to Manchester City is a noticeable loss. However, it seems that many teams will experience a similar fate against Pep Guardiola’s team this season.

The Hornets are undefeated in seven out of their eight Premier League games this season, and they’ve won four out of their eight fixtures.

Best player

Watford’s 20-year-old Brazilian sensation, Richarlison has made a rather meaningful impact during his brief Watford career. The Brazilian attacker was purchased from Fluminense in the summer transfer window for a fee of £11.2M, and he’s been superb for the Hornets this season.

In eight Premier League appearances for his new team, the 20-year-old has amassed a reputable total of three goals and one assist. Additionally, he has won the man of the match award on three occasions which are illustrative of the seamless adaption he’s experienced to life in England.

If we’re to prevent Watford from endangering our defence –  which has been especially fragile in recent weeks – we must negate the threat that the Brazilian possesses.
