Alex Sandro is primed to agree on a contract extension with Juventus.

For the majority of the summer transfer window, the Blues were actively pursuing the signing of Juventus LB Alex Sandro. Nevertheless, the Brazilian full-back is poised to sign a new five-year deal with the Italian giants.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Sandro is primed to commit to a contract extension with Juventus following sustained interest from Chelsea over the summer period.

According to the Italian paper, Alex Sandro will reportedly earn £6.28M a year following this new deal.  While Robert Kenedy’s versatility has been utilised at LWB, Marcos Alonso remains as the only recognised left-sided wing-back that Conte has at his disposal.

As previously mentioned, the Italian’s pursuit of an LWB during the transfer window was well-publicised and this news could force the club to reconsider their targets ahead of the January transfer window. It will be exceedingly interesting to see what happens.
