Here’s our starting eleven to face AS Roma in the Champions League.

Following our shocking and frankly embarrassing defeat to Crystal Palace, the Roma game on Wednesday night represents greater significance in the context of our season.

Despite having not scored a single goal or having attained a single point this season (before Saturday’s game), the Blues were widely anticipated to dictate proceedings and dominate the game at Selhurst Park.

Nonetheless, much to our apparent displeasure, the Eagles orchestrated a wholly uncharacteristic performance to shock the Premier League champions to register their first three points (and first goals) of the campaign.

Roy Hodgson’s team opted to utilise their pace through the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Andy Townsend, and subsequently, we endured great difficulty in containing and negating the threat that they posed in attack.

Here’s the starting eleven that we think Conte should field against the Italian giants on Wednesday.
