Cesc Fabregas has provided the most key passes in the group stage of the Champions League.

According to WhoScored, Cesc Fabregas has created 22 chances in the group stage of the Champions League which is more than any other player in Europe.

Much to our collective frustration, Fabregas has only registered one assist in the Champions League this season which is illustrative of our inability to convert purposeful goal-scoring opportunities.

One of the main criticisms of our performance against Atletico Madrid was our lack of ruthlessness in front of goal.

Since joining the Blues at the start of the 2014/15 season, Fabregas has been a tremendous player for Chelsea, and he proved to be an instrumental figure in two successful title pursuits.

Without question, the 30-year-old has benefited enormously from Conte’s alteration to the 3-5-2 formation, and long may his terrific form continue this season.
