Stamford Chidge is joined by Chelsea legend Kerry Dixon to look back at the wins against Bournemouth and Southampton and look ahead to Saturday’s match away to Everton.

Chelsea put their supporters through the ringer in the Carabao Cup quarter final against Bournemouth, but the 2-1 win courtesy of Alvaro Morata’s injury time goal puts us through to our 32nd semi-final since 1994. It also means that we’ll be facing Arsenal in the semi-final who we’ll be playing 3 times in the space of a couple of weeks. Kerry discusses this and the performance of young Ethan Ampadu, a real prospect but can he break through?

Looking back to the Southampton match, while it keeps the momentum going, does Kerry think we were wasteful or just unlucky and what does he think of the selection of Willian, Hazard and Pedro instead of Morata or Batshuayi?

Everton have found some form since Big Sam Allardyce took over, but will it be a stern test for Chelsea on Saturday and how much will it be down to him? Is his record against Chelsea a myth and how much of it is down to the manager anyway? Kerry gives us the lowdown.

Finally Kerry and Chidge would like to wish all of our listeners a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. UTC!
