Alex Sandro could finally be on his way to the Bridge.

According to the Daily Star, Alex Sandro may be allowed to depart the Italian champions in the January transfer window, as their interest in Wendell intensifies.

Chelsea’s interest in the Brazilian full-back has been established for a lengthy time, and Antonio Conte was unable to acquire the services of the defender during the summer window.

However, it is believed that Juventus are willing to allow Sandro to depart the club. It was initially reported that Sandro would be allowed to leave the club at the end of the season. However, the Italian side have strengthened their desire to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s full-back Wendell.

If the Blues are to successfully sign the Brazilian defender, they must beat the efforts of Manchester United who are also interested in the signing the Juventus full-back.

Antonio Conte’s squad only contains one recognised left wing-back, and it seems that defensive reinforcement will be a priority for the Italian in the transfer window. Sandro is valued at £40M by transfermarkt.
