This is certainly confusing!

In his weekly press-conference, Antonio Conte addressed the issue of Morata’s absence, and he attempted to explain the current situation.

The Spaniard hasn’t featured for the club since being sent off in the FA Cup against Norwich City on the 17th of January. Conte sighted a back problem as the reason that the former Real striker has been absent from first-team duties. Our impassioned Italian manager even disclosed that he was unaware of how long Morata will be injured. The following quotes are from football.london

“I don’t know because he has this problem and we tried a lot to find a solution to solve the pain in his back.

If you ask if me he needs one month, one day, two months, the rest of the season, I don’t know.

For this reason, I’m a bit worried because you know very well the importance of the player.”

However, Morata revealed that he is fit enough to face the Baggies following an exchange with a supporter on Instagram. The image is from football.london

Seemingly, a great deal of uncertainty surrounds this story. It will be interesting to see whether the 25-year-old features tonight.
