The two London clubs are at loggerheads with each other.

According to the Times, cited by the Daily Star, Chelsea and Crystal Palace are in disagreement regarding Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s injury.

The budding English star has been absent in recent weeks due to an ankle injury. He began his career with Palace in an exceedingly purposeful manner, and his performances with the South London club earned Loftus-Cheek his first England call-up.

In fact, the midfielder has featured for the Eagles on 17 occasions this season, scoring one goal. Additionally, he has represented England twice, with his debut coming against Germany earlier in the season.

However, the Blues and Palace have taken opposing views regarding Loftus-Cheek’s injury. Crystal Palace believes that the 22-year-old’s ankle injury requires surgery, while Chelsea are of the opinion that they should let his ankle heal naturally.

Loftus-Cheek is allegedly frustrated at the lack of recovery with his injury; he’s been back at Chelsea for the previous month. Moreover, Palace are desperate for him to return as they’re facing an injury crisis.
