It’s that time again…
Despite the disappointing nature of our 2-1 defeat to Manchester United, there were some performances worthy of focus. Here are the nominees.
Willian
Willian maintained his fine form by scoring his fourth goal in his previous three fixtures to increase his total to 12 goals this term. All in all, the 29-year-old has contributed to 19 goals in all competitions, scoring 12 and assisting seven – his best season regarding goal involvement.
Hazard
Similarly, Eden Hazard proved to be a menace once again. The Belgian registered his sixth assist of the season, meaning that he’s contributed to 21 goals this campaign. He tends to perform in the big games.
Kante
The Frenchman was excellent in the first-half and was a huge factor in the dominance that we achieved during the opening 45 minutes. Unfortunately, the team were far more passive in the second-half.
Drinkwater
The Englishman produced a battling display at the heart of the pitch, and his defensive work was apparent as he completed six tackles. The 27-year-old worked relentlessly for the 80 minutes that he was on the pitch.
