He could be a useful summer addition!

In an interview with the Evening Standard, cited by the Metro, Watford forward, Richarlison failed to disregard rumours linking him with a move to Stamford Bridge.

The Brazilian forward joined Watford for a reported fee of £11.2M at the start of the season, and according to Whoscored, the 20-year-old has contributed to nine goals in the Premier League this campaign.

In fact, Watford’s number 11 has scored five goals and registered four assists in 27 league games for the Hornets this term.

He is highly regarded for his versatility in attacking areas – he can play as a striker, or on either wing. Initially, he rose to prominence having impressed with Fluminense in Brazil’s Serie A. During his time there he scored 19 goals in 67 games before making his move to England.

His performances have been mightily impressive for Watford, and he’s won four man-of-the-match awards this season. Currently, he is valued at £20M by transfermarkt.

Several outlets have linked the player with a move to Chelsea, and while he stressed that his immediate focus is solely placed on Watford, he failed to rule out a future move. According to the Metro, Chelsea are the favourites to sign him.

‘At the moment my head is completely in Watford, I am not thinking about anything else, and I want to help the team get as far as possible in the League.’

‘That is my objective, that is my focus and nothing else.’

‘I want to play in this country for as long as possible,’ he added. ‘It is a great league and has been a great experience for me.’

‘I want to improve and playing in England can help me do that.’
