Contrary to expectation, Andres Iniesta has returned to training ahead of tomorrow’s crucial Champions League clash.
It was initially reported that the Spanish veteran would miss Barcelona’s crucial Champions League second-leg with Chelsea. Nonetheless, as the Metro reports, it seems that the 33-year-old has buoyed his squad with his return.
Iniesta had incurred an injury in Barcelona’s recent victory against Atletico Madrid. However, the Spaniard returned to training yesterday (Monday) and could be fit enough to start tomorrow’s game.
The Barca legend has been an ever-present figure once again this season, having featured on 31 occasions for the league leaders.
The number eight has scored one goal and provided three assists for Barcelona this season. His presence, expertise and experience will be of tremendous help to his team in tomorrow night’s game.
Chelsea will have to be at their best to negate Barcelona’s creative stars.
