Fighting talk from the fan favourite.

In an interview with Talksport, Frank Lampard has disclosed that he thinks the Blues have a fighting chance to beat Barcelona in their crucial second-leg in the Champions League.

The first game ended in a 1-1 draw a game that the Blues should have won. Willian was mightily unfortunate not to register his first Chelsea hat-trick. The Brazilian broke the deadlock with a fine low strike, yet another two of his efforts hit the post. Lionel Messi also scored his first goal against Chelsea for the Catalan side.

Most famously, Frank Lampard was a part of that iconic Chelsea team that knocked Barcelona out of the Champions League in the semi-final stage of the Champions League during the 2011/12 season. We’re all aware what happened in that final.

The 39-year-old revealed all in a recent radio interview with Jim White. The following quotes are from Talksport.

“Can they win against Barcelona? I think so.

“Chelsea were fantastic in the first leg and, of all the English teams in the Champions League, Chelsea do have the capabilities to be really organised, and they have dangerous players on the counter-attack, particularly Eden Hazard and Willian in his current form.

“If they can try and play the way they played at the Bridge, they’ve got a chance.

“It’s going to be a very tough game. When you go to the Nou Camp, Barcelona and especially Lionel Messi make it so difficult for you.

“But there’s certainly a fighting chance for Chelsea. They do have the ability to go there and get something.”
