The pair have been absentees over the course of recent weeks for the Blues. David Luiz has been sidelined by an ankle injury, while Barkley is nursing a hamstring injury.

The 30-year-old has failed to feature prominently for the Premier League champions this season following an alleged fall-out with Antonio Conte.

Another player who has been severely affected by injury is Ross Barkley. Since completing his £15M switch from Everton in the January transfer window, the 24-year-old has only made three appearances for the club.

The English midfielder has been troubled by injury throughout his career, and he’s been absent since the start of February due to a hamstring injury.

With only eight games remaining in the Premier League, Antonio Conte will need every single player available to ensure that the Blues respectably conclude the season.

The Blues will be hoping that both Barkley and Luiz will return before the end of the season.
