The Blues have been linked with an unlikely move for the Bayern Munich striker.

According to the Daily Star, Chelsea are one of several European clubs who are interested in the services of Robert Lewandowski.

It is reported that the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool are all interested in the 29-year-old forward.

Nonetheless, it is believed that the player’s agent is pushing through a move to West London and Bayern are allegedly willing for the Polish striker to depart for £70M.

Given that Chelsea are set to miss out on Champions League football next season it is unlikely that the Blues will convince him to join. Furthermore, it is doubtful that the club will spend a substantial amount of money on a player who is valued at £90M by transfermarkt.

There’s no denying Lewandowski’s goal-scoring pedigree; he has scored 146 goals in 188 games for the German club. However, a move to Chelsea seems highly unlikely.
