The magician is being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
According to El Gol Digital, as cited by the Daily Star, Cesc Fabregas is wanted by Valencia and Villarreal. The Spaniard has only 12 months remaining on his current Chelsea deal, and the Blues could opt to cash-in on Fabregas.
Despite publicly claiming that he’s happy at Chelsea, the report states that Fabregas is willing to return to La Liga. This summer could represent a significant period in his Fabregas’ career as a Chelsea player.
Fabregas – who is valued at £27M by transfermarkt – has registered 182 appearances since joining the club at the start of the 2014/15 season. During that time, he has won two Premier League titles, in addition to winning the Capital One Cup and the FA Cup.
It’s unlikely that the club will be willing for a player of his pedigree to leave on a free transfer. Accordingly, it seems that a contract extension or a departure is on the horizon for Fabregas.
