The rumours linking Willian with a move to Manchester United have re-emerged.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils have held informal talks ahead of a potential move to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window.

Somewhat notoriously, Nemanja Matic transferred from the Blues to the red side of Manchester during the last summer window, and Willian could follow in the footsteps of the experienced Serbian midfielder.

Chelsea’s experienced Brazilian winger is contracted at the club until 2020. Thus his transfer value will decrease significantly next season. It is believed that United are in need of a right-winger, yet it remains to be seen whether the Blues will allow Willian to leave. He is currently valued at £32M by transfermarkt.

The club received considerable scrutiny for allowing Matic to join a divisional rival, and perhaps that will influence their decision whether to sell or keep Willian at the club.  Previously, the Brazilian has spoken of his admiration and love of Chelsea.
