This is an intriguing proposition!

According to the Daily Mail, cited by Talksport, Chelsea will allegedly target Juventus striker, Gonzalo Higuain if Maurizio Sarri is appointed as the Blues’ new manager.

It is extensively anticipated that Antonio Conte will be relieved of his position as Chelsea manager at the end of the season, and Maurizio Sarri has reportedly been identified as one of the club’s primary targets.

If Sarri is appointed as the new manager, it is believed that he’s keen to bring Higuain to London, as the pair worked together at Napoli where the Argentine scored 36 league goals in 35 games.

Personally, I feel that this transfer seems to be reliant on too many factors. Additionally, it’s worth considering that Higuain is 30-years-old and he is currently valued at £70M by transfermarkt. It’s unlikely that the Blues will make such a substantial investment for a player who is approaching the latter stages of his career.
