A rumoured Chelsea target has revealed his desire to play in the Premier League.

Over the course of recent weeks, Gonzalo Higuain has been continuously linked with a move to Chelsea. While the Blues’ managerial situation remains ambiguous, the 30-year-old has allegedly been identified as a prospective transfer target.

As the Daily Mail reports, the Argentine striker has revealed his ambition to play in the Premier League, and his revelation is particularly interesting amid Chelsea’s reported interest in his services. He is valued at £54M by transfermarkt.

The forward remained coy on his future when discussing to ESPN in Argentina.

“‘I have a contract with Juventus, and no one has communicated anything different.”

“I’m very calm; my soul stays in Turin for now.”

“But I would love to play in the Premier League; it fascinates me a lot.”

A lack of goals has been a concern for the Blues this season, club-record signing, Alvaro Morata had only amassed 14 goals in his first season with Chelsea. By comparison, Higuain scored 23 goals in all competitions for Juventus.
