Davide Zappacosta could be poised to leave Stamford Bridge.

According to Tuttosport, as cited by Sports Mole, Inter Milan are interested in signing Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta.

Despite only being at Chelsea for a season, the Italian failed to displace Victor Moses as the club’s first-choice right wing-back. Furthermore, the Blues’ managerial uncertainty may jeopardise his long-term future at Chelsea.

It is reported that Inter would rather take Zappacosta on an initial loan deal, with an option to buy the 26-year-old at the end of the loan. He is valued at £18M by transfermarkt.

During his first season with the Blues, the Italian defender amassed 35 first-team appearances for Antonio Conte’s side. To date, the wing-back has scored two goals for the club, in addition to winning the FA Cup.

Without question, it will be interesting to observe how this story develops in forthcoming weeks. While considering that Zappacosta isn’t a regular starter for the club, the Blues could be tempted to sell the defender.
