In his latest article for the Fancast, @thecfc150 argues that Andreas Christensen should start for the club.

Andreas Christensen must play, now.

Once deemed the heir to club legend John Terry’s crown, Christensen has somewhat hit the pause button in his simmering Chelsea career. Nevertheless, now is the time to turn the heat back up on his pursuit to become the stalwart in our back four, with David Luiz’s performances evoking scrutiny on social media.

With 40 appearances in a breakthrough 2017/18 season, including colossal performances against Tottenham & Arsenal, Christensen’s calm demeanour was a welcome addition to a shaky defence for the Blues in the 17/18 season. Andreas ranked only behind John Stones in pass completion rate, with 93%, showing a mature, peripheral outlook to his game. Does this characterization scream a match made in heaven with the sumptuous style of Sarri-Ball? Absolutely.

I know many will agree, that Rudiger and Christensen is our strongest CB partnership, and it needs to happen instantly.

Should Christensen be starting our next game? Let us know!
