Hi guys,

Hopefully this email isn’t too long, feel free to cut it off whenever you see fit (come on Jose you know the rules by now 😉)

I’m a Long-time listener from Melbourne Australia! I absolutely love the show and listening you guys after each game. I always look forward to what you have to say about who played well and who played like shit, team tactics etc.

love the banter between you all and have a good laugh listening. I feel as though I’m there with you all while tuning in.

I’m really feeling for you guys over in the UK and Europe in general with COVID, and not being able to be at the bridge cheering on the boys with all your mates.

Hopefully things can return to some sort of normality soon and you can all bring some life and atmosphere back into the game. For now, I’ll have to deal with fake crowd noise on my live streams.

My greatest sporting memory by far would be traveling to Europe in 2015 and stopping in London for a few days to watch a Chelsea match at the Bridge.

It just so happened to be the 3rd of May 2015 where we beat Crystal Palace 1-0 to secure the 2014-15 Premier League title under Jose Mourinho.

Eden Hazard’s headed goal after a saved penalty attempt was something, we were all counting our lucky stars on I’m sure.

Obviously, I had purchased my match tickets some months before hand, so I didn’t know which game I would be watching. But to this day I’m so thankful that it was a title winning game and you cannot put a price on that.

I still can’t believe I was that lucky. The whole experience of the day was something I’ll treasure forever, from loading up at the Chelsea store, the hospitality package before the game and at half time and even buying a “half & half” scarf post-match because it was 50% cheaper than before the game! Hahaha.

It’s something I’ll probably never get to do again but it’s something I’ll never forget and cherish forever.

But enough about me. I know you’ve already covered losing Frank Lampard as our manager.

Having him was something we all have dreamed of and just like every other Chelsea fan, I was gutted when he was sacked.

But everything happens for a reason. He came into a Chelsea side in circumstances no other manager would’ve accepted and got us into top 4 with a young squad and no new signings.

But unfortunately, the timing wasn’t right for him in his young career to lead us onto the next phase. Maybe one day when his career progresses he can make a return.

TT seems to be doing well so far, but we desperately need a goal scoring midfielder. If only kovacic could score goals, he really would be the perfect player. Is shooting practice not an option for these defensive minded midfielders or is it a case of you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?

We need some inspiration from somewhere and the inspiration I’m talking about, is a rocket from outside the box into the top corner from ANYONE! Preferably a forward because they need the confidence but sadly I just can’t see it happening.

There seems to be no urge to shoot but rather pass and eventually lose the ball. For god sake someone just have a crack! We won’t hate you for it. If it does come, my guess is from Ziyech.

Don’t ask me why it’s just a feeling I have. Hopefully we can turn this around soon or else no top 4 for us.

Anyway keep up the good work and I look forward to the next show.

Stay safe,

Regards, Jose
