Shafted by a Ladyboy! The Chelsea Football FanCast #136

This week’s show sees Chidge and the boys discuss the 2-0 loss to Liverpool, and welcome special guests, well known Chelsea authors Mark Worrall and the mysterious ‘Hocus McPocus’, to talk about their new book: CFCUK Best of Vol. 1. All this plus match awards; a real classic Chelsea song and the best posts in ‘You’re on CFFC’.

So we lose to the Red scum, buy hey, like Carletto we’re not worried. Still top of the league and having a laugh! A little more worrying though is how our midfield stutters when Lampard and Essien are absent. The boys discuss the defeat and look at the positives.

In the weekly awards, JT features heavily in Man of the Match, Guinness and Celery Moments, although Hocus McPocus reveals a hilarious ‘celery’ moment featuring a young scouser collared by the long arm of the law. No guesses as to who grassed him up. Proper Chels!

“We’re out to show the World the way to sing” features, at last, of one of Chidge’s favourite Chelsea songs. A defiant and rousing song and a little bit naughty to boot. We’ll give you a clue – it has Liverpool in the lyrics. How cathartic.

In spite of a serious attack of verbal diarrhea from Chidge, Mark Worrall and Hocus McPocus just about get a word in edge wise to talk about their new book: CFCUK Best of Vol. 1. The book is an anthology of Chelsea’s most loved fanzine from 1999 to 2005 and provides a fascinating insight into the history of the club through the fans eyes in a very special time for all Chelsea fans.  And we’re running a competition to win a copy of the book signed by Mark Worrall, Hocus McPocus, Kelvin Barker.

Finally, a collective effort reading the best posts of the week out in “You’re on CFFC” and a brilliant new song penned by a listener is sung. Hopefully we’ll be getting that one going on the terraces for the visit of Liverpool in February.
