And the nominations are…

Willian wriggling like a little eel to get through several Atleti defenders when he had no right to and getting the ball to Azpi who passed for Torres goal. Willian used a lovely skillful drag back to evade the tackles – sheer quality!

Our second nomination goes to David Luiz for a short burst of keepy-uppy followed by an audacious overhead kick which only just went passed the post with Courtois well beaten. Would have been an amazing goal.

Ironic that Courtois – technically a Chelsea player denied his Captain, and that a minute later Atleti scored the penalty that effectively ended the tie. This was a close call between JT’s header and David Luiz’s which hit the post – but technically JT’s was superb in my humble opinion!
