Mark Schwarzer 6
The Australian had next to nothing to do.
Branislav Ivanovic 6
I didn’t make a single note on Ivanovic’s performance. No errors, but nothing in the plus column either.
Gary Cahill 7
Made two excellent interventions during the course of the game, notably in the second half when blocking a Snodgrass effort.
John Terry 7
A serene day for the Chelsea captain who could well have opened the scoring when heading straight at Ruddy.
Ashley Cole 8 – Man of the Match
Chelsea’s best player on the park on what was hopefully not his last appearance in Chelsea blue at Stamford Bridge. Propelled the team forward in the first half of the first half especially, while being fortunate not to concede a penalty.
Frank Lampard 6
Another player not to make much of an impact, Lampard was withdrawn at half time.
Nemamja Matic 6
Not the Serb’s best display in a Chelsea shirt, Matic did slide in Schurrle when the German hit the post, but overall he was caught out on the ball a couple of times and did not look his usual composed self.
Mo Salah 6
With the Norwich defence sitting deep in front of him, the Egyptian never had an opportunity to open his legs and show his class. Still, Salah demonstrated he has more to his game than raw pace, knowing when to head to the byline and when to move the ball onto a better placed teammate.
Willian 7
Practically every week the Fancast comments on how Willian is often our best (and sometimes only) attacking player and it was the case again today, although the Brazilian did not hit his usual heights.
Andre Schurrle 6
The German had a good first half, firing a shot off the foot of the post after cutting in from the left, but struggled to make an impact in the second.
Demba Ba 6
Kicked one too many times in the first half, the Senegalese made little impact.
Subsitutes:
David Luiz 6
An up and down game as a subsitute, Luiz had one or two positives other than striking the underside of the crossbar with an angled drive, but also lost out when he shouldn’t as Chelsea’s deepest lying midfielder.
Eden Hazard 7
A positive cameo from the Belgian who injected some skill into the Chelsea attack and should have been given a penalty after an odd incident when he drew a wild lunge from a Norwich defender.
Fernando Torres 6
Another Blue who may well have played for the last time at the Bridge and another of the player’s on the day who, while not doing much wrong, did nothing right either.
