Despite Michy Batshuayi’s marvellous form, Wayne Bridge believes that Antonio Conte should sign another striker in January.

Former Chelsea left-back, Wayne Bridge, has spoken to the Sun outlining his view that our impassioned Italian manager will sign another striker in January.

Interestingly, his comments are devoid of any praise for our Belgian striker, the undisputed king of Twitter, Michy Batshuayi who has made a very purposeful start to the new campaign.

In seven appearances this season, the 23-year-old has scored five goals, which included our all-important winner against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night. The goal itself testified his capacity to score goals against quality opposition.

‘Morata has obvious quality – he’s quick, he’s running in behind and scoring goals with his head and his feet,’

‘He’s a totally different player in terms of what Chelsea are used to, with the likes of Didier Drogba and Costa who are big and strong and bullied defenders. With the likes of Fabregas who can slip him in, with the runs that he makes he’s going to get chances.

‘I really like him but I expect them to probably sign another centre-forward in January. Not to replace Morata but someone either to work with him or they can change. Someone physically a bit stronger and who wants to bully defenders.’

What do you make of Bridge’s comments? Let us know!
