The Belgian is primed to start against Everton in the Carabao Cup, and he’s also poised to stay for the remainder of the season.

Historically, there’s been a reluctance on Chelsea’s part to integrate young stars into the first-team setup. As is widely acknowledged, John Terry is the last academy graduate who successfully established himself as a first-team starter.

Nonetheless, there is considerable optimism associated with some of our promising prospects this season which will hopefully conclude that undesired period of insufficient youth development.

Andreas Christensen has performed phenomenally for the Blues this campaign, and Charly Musonda – who has been at the club since he was a teenager – has amassed four appearances for the Blues this season.

The Belgian also managed to score his first goal for the club in our 5-1 thrashing of Nottingham Forest in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

According to the Evening Standard, the 21-year-old is primed to stay with the club for the remainder of the season despite his controversial Instagram rant.

On numerous occasions this season, Antonio Conte has illustrated the lack of sufficient depth that he flaunts within his squad. Thus, the decision to keep Musonda is especially sensible.
