Drama is commonplace at our club!

Having stunningly beaten Manchester United, many were expecting a relatively quiet international break.

Aside from potential developments with the David Luiz story, it was unlikely that the Blues would face a turbulent and chaotic week.

Nonetheless, news of Michael Emenalo’s untimely resignation has shocked Chelsea supporters, with some members of the press linking him with a move to Monaco.

Our former technical director was often criticised for his handling of affairs at Chelsea, and he’ll be forever remembered for creating the phrase ‘palpable discord’.

Does this constitute good news for the club? Given his hasty departure – and the fact that he’d been at the club for a decade – it is unlikely that the club had contingency plans for such an instance.

It’s also believed that Emenalo was a close ally to Roman Abramovich, which provides the story with greater intrigue.
