A view of the opposition ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash.

The story so far

West Ham United have endured a turbulent start to the Premier League season. The Irons are currently positioned in 19th place in the league table, a single point above Swansea City who currently occupy bottom place.

Slaven Bilic has since departed the club and has been replaced by David Moyes, who’s awaiting his victory with his new team. The Scotsman has been in charge for four fixtures drawing one and losing the other three games.

Indeed, the Hammers have experienced considerable difficulty in the league this season having only won two games from 15 games. Out of a possible 45 points the East London club have only attained ten.

Best player

Without question, Manuel Lanzini is West Ham’s most treasured player. The Argentinian midfielder has failed to ascertain his typically refined standards this season, having only scored one goal and provided one assist, although his talents are indisputable.

The 24-year-old scored eight goals in 39 games in all competitions for the Hammers last season and he also provided two assists in the league.

He is especially proficient from dead-ball situations and he’s widely considered as Coutinho’s potential replacement at Liverpool.
