Our impassioned Italian manager has been fined having been sent to the stands in our 1-0 triumph against Swansea City.

has received an £8,000 fine from the Football Association having been sent to the stands in ’s 1-0 victory against the Swans last month.

In a typically gracious manner, the Italian apologised to Neil Swarbrick. The following quote is from the BBC.

“I made a mistake. With my players I suffer. It’s a pity.”

He also discussed how the fine has upset his wife. The following quotes are from the Evening Standard.

“My wife is angry. It is her birthday in two days and I said for this reason I will not buy a gift!”

“My wife was at the game, so it was very difficult! She was there with my daughter. I tried to tell her (what happened), but no, no. It is very difficult to mask this situation!”
