Yes, Ashley Cole has extended his stay with MLS side LA Galaxy. The legendary left-back who formed a crucial component of the ‘old guard’ during the club’s most successful period has prolonged his career at the age of 37.
During eight seasons with the club, the Englishman amassed 338 appearances and won a total of nine trophies.
In 2016, he opted to make the switch to the MLS from AS Roma, and he has featured on 55 occasions during the past two seasons for LA Galaxy. Many Galaxy fans are hopeful that Cole will be given the captaincy this season and his manager, Sigi Schmid, has spoken positively of Cole’s decision to extend his stay in America.
