Baba could be on the move.

According to Goal, Schalke are keen on resigning Chelsea’s left-back, Abdul Baba Rahman. The Ghanaian international hasn’t played for the Blues since 2016, and the German club are poised to seize on Rahman’s availability.

Rahman made 21 appearances for the German club on loan last season, before an injury concluded his spell unexpectedly. However, having recovered from cruciate ligament rupture, he could be prepared to complete his move back to the Bundesliga.

Schalke’s manager, Domenico Tedesco, disclosed that the club are hoping to sign Rahman on a long-term deal. The quotes are from Kicker, cited by Goal.

“One more player would be good for us, I’m thinking about Abdul Rahman Baba for the left wing above all.

“He still has a flat here in Gelsenkirchen; he knows Schalke and Schalke knows him. If we could get him on loan from Chelsea for a longer spell, we wouldn’t be averse.

“We are clarifying now how good his fitness is at the moment.”
