The former fan favourite has been discussing Chelsea’s current attacking options.

In an interview with football.london, Tore Andre Flo has been discussing Chelsea’s striking options and the progress that Morata has achieved since moving to Chelsea from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old made a purposeful start to his Chelsea career, which included an indelible hat-trick away at Stoke City.

Yet, the Spaniard has only scored four goals in the Premier League since October, and he’s missed almost a month of football since being sent off in the FA Cup against Norwich City on the 17th of January.

Flo, who currently works as an ambassador for the club, has been discussing his Chelsea career to-date and he expects the Spaniard to become an important player for the Blues.

“I would really defend him any day, he is a very, very good player, I really like him. If he gets a good delivery, he is so good in front of goal. I like the way he moves in the build-up.

But obviously it is tough coming to the Premier League and some games he found it tough. But I think now when he also has someone else in as well, then hopefully we could see two strikers every now and then. I don’t know, we’ll have to wait and see.”

The 44-year-old also talked about the arrival of Olivier Giroud, sighting the tactical flexibility that the Frenchman’s arrival provides

“I think you get someone there that can change up the way you play a bit, obviously he is tall, and he can be in there to head it or take down balls from the back.

We will have to just wait and see how he uses him. Now he has got more options on how to change the way he plays.”
