Interesting words from our beloved Ramires.

In an interview with UOL Esporte, cited by Goal, Ramires revealed his ambition to return to the club before he retires from professional football.

The 30-year-old left the club when Guus Hiddink sold him in January 2016. Since completing his move to China, the experienced midfielder has impressed for Jiangsu Suning scoring a respectable total of 17 goals in 70 games for the Chinese side.

During his Chelsea career, Ramires amassed a superb total of 246 games scoring a reputable total of 37 goals for a box-to-box midfielder.

He enjoyed tremendous success with the club, and he won every major honour available during his time with Chelsea. With thanks to his peerless work ethic, and tendency to secure stunning goals, Ramires was widely adored by Chelsea fans.

In his recent interview, the Brazilian has claimed that the door is open for a return. The following quotes are from Goal.

“Chelsea? I’ll always have special affection for them, and I want to play for them again before finishing my career.”

“I know the doors of Stamford Bridge will always be open to me and that wearing their jersey again would be spectacular.”

“There’s been lots of talk about Inter, but nothing concrete has come my way, at least until today.

“Everyone knows Inter are a great club and that playing in Europe again is a wish of mine, but for now I’m thinking about helping Jiangsu have a great 2018. Nothing else is going through my head right now.”
