Another former target is linked with an incoming move to the club.

According to the Daily Mirror, both Chelsea and Arsenal have been ‘put on red alert’ as Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly could move to the Premier League in the summer transfer window.

It is reported that Manchester United are also keen on the Serie A defender, yet Chelsea’s interest in the 26-year-old has been established for some time.

Napoli signed the Senegalese defender from Metz at the start of the 2014-15 season, and he’s been an instrumental figure for the Italian side over the past four campaigns.

During his time in Italy, Koulibaly has amassed 147 appearances for Napoli, scoring seven goals – four of which have been scored this season.

While considering that both Gary Cahill and David Luiz are ageing, the arrival of a new defender is a conceivable proposition. Who knows what will happen in the summer transfer window?
