At long last, it seems that Emerson will make his full Premier League debut.

In today’s press-conference, Antonio Conte has hinted that Emerson Palmieri will make his full Premier League debut in tomorrow night’s clash against Burnley.

Since arriving from Roma for an initial fee of £17.5M, the 23-year-old has only made three Chelsea appearances – two of which were from the bench in the league.

However, Marcos Alonso has been charged with violent conduct by the FA following his challenge on Shane Long in our 3-2 victory against Southampton. As a result, Emerson is poised to receive his opportunity to shine.

He has mostly been in Alonso’s shadow since arriving from Italy, and the left-back will be incredibly eager to make a purposeful impression for the Blues.

To his credit, Emerson was very impressive on his debut against Hull City, and he even assisted Olivier Giroud’s first goal for the club. The following quote is from the Evening Standard.

“Tomorrow Emerson will play. He’s ready in the physical and tactical aspect. I don’t know if he is ready to play two in three days. For sure he will play against Burnley.”

Best of luck, Emerson!
