Mason Mount is close to sealing a move to join Frank Lampard’s Derby.
As the Daily Telegraph reports, Derby County – managed by our very own, Frank Lampard – are closing in on the loan signing of Mason Mount on a season-long loan deal.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a tremendous season with Vitesse last campaign, where he amassed a highly impressive total of 14 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions.
Many were hopeful that Maurizio Sarri would choose to include the starlet in his squad for the forthcoming season. Nonetheless, it appears that the 19-year-old is destined to spend the season away from the Blues.
Thankfully, he’ll have the best possible mentor in the shape of Frank Lampard, and if he proves to be successful during his time with the Rams, then he can return to the club and stake his claim for a place in our squad.
