Stamford Chidge & Jonathan Kydd are joined by Adam Newson from Football.London, Martin Wickham, Tony Glover and Mark Meehan for a Chelsea Fancast summit meeting on the existential threat facing Chelsea due to the Government sanctions.

In part one, we recap on the 3-1 win away to Norwich on Wednesday night, only hours after the announcement that Chelsea were to be sanctioned by the Government. Havertz and Mount were in great form in a performance of great character given the circumstances, but it is Thomas Tuchel’s handling of the crisis that is truly remarkable. Looking ahead to the Newcastle match on Sunday, we discuss the injuries, press conference, likely team selection and discuss how we see the match going.

In part two, we look at the detais of the Government sanctioning Roman Abramovich and what it means for Chelsea. Is it necessary for Roman Abramovich to walk away quickly forsaking any profit or risk the club going bust? How real is the threat of Chelsea going bust or into administration? Does this put Chelsea in a vulnerable position with a potential new owner?

In part three we look at what the possiblity of Chelsea being taken out means to us personally. Will the history and heritage of the club live on in a different guise should the unthinakble happen? And what can the supporters do to help the club survive? We look at the great work the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust is doing to ensure that Chelsea keep’s going, such as protecting the Chelsea Pitch Owners, lobbying the Goverment to implement the Fan Led Review reccomendations such as the Golden Share to protect the ground, location, colours and badge, and ensuring the Government resolves the situation as quickly and transparently as possible.
