Stamford Chidge & Jonathan Kydd are joined by Dean Mears to look back at a familiar defeat at home to Brentford and ahead to Wednesday’s Carabao Cup match against Blackburn Rovers.
In part one and two we look back to Saturday’s 0:2 defeat to Brentford. A horrible case of deja vu as Chelsea fail to convert their chances and then being mugged off with a smash and grab. Is it just as simple as not having a top striker? Did we miss Mudryk and Enzo? And is our unbelievably weak bench a result of injuries or a window in to how far we’ve fallen?
In part two we discuss the poor home atmosphere. Is it a reflection of modern football or a disatisfaction with what is being served up on the pitch? And with Chelsea languishing in mid-table, are there hopes we can turn it round and does this depend on buying a striker in January or do we put faith in our injured players returning?
