Let’s face it there was a lot to laugh about in the Chelsea v Arsenal match! Ruining Wenger’s 1000th match with a 6-0 thrashing and halting the spreadsheet army’s march to the title in the process to name but two.

But in terms of Celery moments, there are three stand outs.

The first has to be Andre Marriner sending off Kieran Gibbs when it was in fact Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who leapt across the goal to tip Hazard’s shot round the post. The fact that it was going wide anyway making it aChelsea v Arsenal harsh red card only made it funnier. Then you have to add that it compounded Arsenal’s misery by effectively ending the game as they went 3-0 down inside 17 minutes. Of course they’d already thrown the towel in when the second goal went in after 10 minutes. Arsenal and their fans are truly made for each other aren’t they. Petulant, mentally infirm and limp wristed. The sending off and the scenario around it was without one of the funniest things I have witnessed at a football match!

The second nomination would be the resultant ruination of Wenger’s 1000th match in charge. There has never been any love lost between 011 WengerWenger and Jose, so to lose 6-0 and be beaten so emphatically by his arch nemesis would have been his worst nightmare. To compound it Jose leaves early, his job done, to phone his wife and tell her to put the kettle on. Mind you, he didn’t leave Stamford Bridge as early as many of the window licking Goons who mistakenly presumed there was a fire drill!

Our final nomination goes to Samuel Eto’o for the opening goal after three minutes, well more accurately for his goal celebration. Eto’o has amused us imageswith his flamboyant goal celebrations recently but this one was class. He strutted around, chest puffed out milking the crowd (and no doubt loving the abuse he was getting from the Goons). Lovely stuff – a Chelsea cult hero in the making!
