And the nominations are:

Samuel Eto’o had one of those games where his radar was clearly not functioning. In the last 20 minutes he repeatedly missed the target and when he wasn’t doing that he was caught wandering offside. The look of innocence was hilarious as in “I am Samuel Eto’o how can I possibly miss or be offside”.

Ashley Williams got all Barcelona trying on a few drag backs on the edge of the penalty area trying to evade the attention of Willian. Sadly the Swansea Captain didn’t quite have the skill to carry it off and managed only to beat himself as the ball went out for a corner.

Finally, Jose Mourinho received a ludicrous fine of £8,000 from the FA for his encroachment on the pitch at Villa this week. He is not happy about it and nor are a group of Chelsea supporters. cfcuk fanzine started a campaign to collect enough money to pay Jose’s fine. Not that he needs the money but as a very public gesture of support for him. Of course ‘He Who Must Not Be Named’ was going round with the collection bucket and requesting that we donate ‘only a pound!’ He also got a decent amount of press for it this week and made it clear that whatever the amount raised, it will all go to charity. Many have been carping about this, but surely they’re missing the point – it’s a gesture and a display of support for Jose – that works for me!
