Kalas’ instinctive positional sense set him up to screen the play in front of him and when required the Czech won the vast majority of his challenges, including a couple of exceptional tackles, as well as almost burying a header from a corner shortly before Ba scored.
Brana Ivanovic did an excellent John Terry impression, marshalling the defence and showed his veteran presence in the way he brought the best out of Tomas Kalas.

My man of the match is Schurle. Never stopped running made key tackles in front of the defense and was never afraid to run with the ball.
given circumstances and his inexperience at this level of the competition Kalas can be rated higher than Schurle just for this match because he exceeded more than everyone’s expectation
I would like to put in a vote for our reserve keeper — he denied Suarez when it counted most.
The whole Chelsea team was superb but Kalas’s performance was beyond expectations.

i will give my vote to kala because at his level his performance at anfied was incredible
kalas,kalas great kalas. This young man will be invaluable for chelsea. He made suarez look so ordinary yet this was just his first role playing 90 mins against league leaders.suarez ,you agree with me, has been in great form this year but kalas thwarted all his efforts. I sympathise. suarez must be feeling aweful and very frustrated. if that be so what do say of Gerald?

I vote for Tomas kalas,he did a good job by stoping sterling not to enter into the box,infact i did not expect that he can perform like that in that mathch he really try.
Kalas had suarez in his pocket the whole game. Kalas and Kurt Zouma have massive potential!
